I just got back from OD to do a return/rebuy 14 day receipt thingy to get on the new rebate. No snags, my receipt says 5/1 now, but I thought the new rebate was exactly the same as the old 3/28-5/1 except it said like 4/26-5/1 what's this junk about buying a printer or notebook ???

Anyway i'm going to send in my old form, posts on fat billfold indicate the rebates are being validated(the original 3/28-5/1 not the one which gave customers in Alaska or Hawaii an extra week)

so i'm sending this in monday, we'll see how long it takes

Think they'll have this deal again or was that a closeout price? I need a good deal on a camera like this for a friend who I'm trying to get to quit buying freakin disposable cameras. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. 2MP is fine, as long as pic quality is decent.

Now that this thread has been resurrected: I received email confirming validity of my rebate submission. I used the FIRST rebate form that was posted (the one that did not mention a laptop purchase).

I also got my confirmation on my rebate for using the original rebate. I submitted it during the "you have to buy a laptop" fiasco.

Just got my rebate confirmed as "valid". I had to fight for it though, since I bought my camera online instead of in store. I faxed over a copy of my rebate form which said nothing about being valid for in store purchases only.
