**For those who used the old rebate (March - May), that one has been pulled, I don't know if OD HQ will accept it (they should though..), in any case, return/rebuy to make sure that the new A60 rebate is VALID.**

Then, send in for the $100 Mail-in-Rebate (good until May 1st, 2004)

New Rebate, started April 25th, good until May 1st: Text

Ways to make this deal hotter:

Wal*Mart.com has the A60 for: $165.66. PM to WalMart, then buy :)

they are back in stock at most stores, my OD just got tons in, plus bestbuy is selling it for $161 so I pmed it to $161, and signed up for the advantage card(If you sign up for the advantage plan I think you will earn double the points and get $20 store credit!), and after i apply my points i should get the camera for about $41.

order online for in-store pickup with a certain coupon code that is printed on their catalog
and have them throw in a free 20" rolling duffle bag

lol

edit: hmmm... might be too risky since the rebate says "in-store only"

I have this camera, got it back when if you bought with the epson c84 printer you could get a $50 combo rebate. Did the advantage thingy too. paid $268 total for both and had $170 in rebates plus the advantage thingy...... I had a hard time getting it though (oos) and the store mannager ended up ordering it for me somehow... Anyway it is a nice camera. I have taken some very good pictures with it and the exposure was perfect. Blew them up to 8 x 10 size and only got a little softness on the printout, not really noticable..... I did a lot of digging for reviews on the net for it and it seems to be highly rated everywhere I read. You might want to get a bigger memory card for it and some rechargable batteries as I did. It may not be the best you can buy but it sure is a great value at these prices.

Price updated to reflect a better deal.

I had trouble getting the $30 off $150 Staples coupon to work. They need the ones that are sent out to houses, not emailed. :(

well people do know about this b/c the deal is about a week old, bu they sold out quickly and this week go more in stock. also the rebate on the office depot site says it expired 4-3-2004, but somehow some people got the extended rebate form. i gave up last week on this deal until i came across the extended rebate on slickdeals and quickly went and grabbed me one of these babies for $161 - $100 rebate - $20 when you sign up for the advantage card.

i was thinking the same thing, but since the rebate says its only for stores...it seemed a little risky to do something like that

I decided to make the trek out to my local best buy to see if they had any in stock. They had 2 a60s left, each priced on clearance at $161.99. Office Depot was half a dozen stores down, so I walked over and they had 4 left each at $199.99. I walked over to the manager and asked if he would price match to Best Buy's price, he said sure. Went ahead and took it to the register and walked outthe door at $171.70(6% sales tax).

Thanks MrCodeDude, should be MrCoolDude. I've been putting off buying a digicam, I wanted the 12x zoom Panasonic, but that's 3 times as much, plus uses SD cards, and proprietary batteries. With this $70 camera, a $70 Archos Mp3 player, $35 Syncbox(usb mass storage adapter), and a couple 128mb CF cards at $16/piece i'll have a sweat setup.

Hopefully that $100 rebate comes, didn't bother asking about the $20 additional off since i'm 20 and wonder about whether i'd get approved for credit in my own name at this point

My BestBuy does not have any A60's in stock! I'll add one to my cart online and bring it back to OD, see if they'll PM it that way.

Can you price match to Walmart even though it's only advertised on their website? Some stores only price match with non-website prices. I have never price matched before. So I just call up that number on OD's website, and tell them that I found a cheaper price on an A60?

Here's how I made the best of the deal:
Camera ? 199
Hp 7660 ? 149
Total - 348
OD Coupon ? (20)
OD Coupon - (20)
Camera rebate (100)
Printer rebate (50)
Bundle rebate (50)
Advantage $ (30)

Net w/o tax $78

I bought the camera and printer in seperate transactions so I could use a coupon on each. In addition, I called both HP and OD rebate co's to get permission to use copies of UPC

Is there an Office Depot $20 off instore coupon?

The only ones I found are ones that you either click through and get the discount online or you enter the code at the end of the transaction.

My Bestbuy is OUT of A60's, making it impossible for me to PM it to them since they say they can't give a price of an item that is OOS over the phone. The guy said he can give me a "callback" number for when they come back in he can check the price.. :(

And Wal*Mart.com has the price showing up as 16x.xx online, BB.com has it at $179.

Scored this deal in Charlotte. Thanks.

The University Best Buy has the A60 in stock. Across the street, Office Depot had at least two in stock. The OD cashier called BB and confirmed the price/stock, then I bought one. That leaves at least one more available.

BTW, all my OD coupons exclude Tech items, so no luck with coupons . . .
