Cannot register new user

My girlfriend wants to create an account for herself, but she cannot seem to get past the registration page, it keeps telling her there is an error and the "webmaster" has been notified.

a friend of mine is having the exact same issue.

has Anandtech.com closed registration or something?

This was the error (Line/Char may have been different) I was getting. I was attempting to use my aol.com e-mail addresss and it wouldn't work. I used another e-mail address I had and I was fine.

Perhaps it's an attempt at reducing advertising and spammers, by limiting users to GMail accounts, ISP accounts and personal accounts.

This was the error (Line/Char may have been different) I was getting. I was attempting to use my aol.com e-mail addresss and it wouldn't work. I used another e-mail address I had and I was fine.

There are a bunch of banned email domains, there must be an error in the code that looks to see if the entered email is in the list. then after it hits one, the .NET asp can't compile because there is a missing quote mark.

If the problem is something other than trying to use a forbidden email address, have any of you tried PMing a mod?
