Cannot open eml files

I migrated from a XP PC to a new one with Win 7 64, and installed Windows Live Mail as my default mail client as I had in the old PC, and it works OK, but the problem is that now I cannot open *.eml files with it.- I asociated that extension to the Win Live Mail exe, but when I try to open any of that files, it opens the whole Live Mail aplication, not the single file as it did formerly in my old PC .-
What should I do ?

You were probably opening the files before in Outlook Express or Windows Mail. All files open in an application, it's just that Live Mail apparently doesn't provide you with the functionality you are looking for.

As Outlook Express and Windows Mail don't exist in Windows 7, you can purchase Outlook or find another program that opens eml files. Thunderbird might work, and it's free.
 
I had been using XP with W.Live Mail before, and had no problems opening eml files.- So then Win 7 is the problem ?.-
