Cannot install Vista SP1

Hi

I read the technical issue report on windows and it shows that most propably, the issue is the realtech ac'97 chip, since driver versions below 6.0.1.6242 are not supported.

I recently bought an HP DV6860ea laptop, and it comes with the realtech audio chip. However, the latest drivers available on the HP support website is lower than that.

Where can I find updated drivers for the sound card, that work with my HP laptop?

Thanks in advance
Jon

they cant install on my laptop (HP DV6000 series)

i think i need the hp drivers, but they are not available for my model up to the sp1 driver.

I had a similar problem w/ my dell laptop. I had to uninstall the soundcard and use the sp1 stand alone package. I was able to reinstall the soundcard after the update was finished. I did this on sat, and haven't had any problems yet.
