Cannot Install Soundcard? Drivers? Or hardware?

I have a SoundBlaster Audigy, a 20 dollar soundcard I picked up since my motherboard does not have onboard sound.

Anyways, I get Vista and get this soundcard basically at the same time. I format my old XP, and install Vista. Now I went to Creative's website and under:

Support > Downloads > North America > United States of America > English > Go! > Sound Blaster > Audigy > Audigy (Very Bottom) > Next: Lanquage: English. Operating System: Windows Vista (32bit): File Type: All > Go! > Creative Sound Blaster Audigy series Vista Driver 2.12.0002 > Download Now: Agree to the agreement. I download the drivers. Then after I start installing I get an error that says that "it does not detect the hardware in my system to install this driver, setup will now close" or something along those lines.

How can I make my sound work? Any ideas? I really appreciate it! Thanks.

The only thing I can suggest, I know those Audigy cards came in a couple of different flavors.

Creative stated no support for the following audigy series:
Sound Blaster Audigy LS, Sound Blaster Audigy SE, or Sound Blaster Audigy Value.

If your card is a "Audigy" I don't know what to tell ya, try different PCI slot

Looks like i gave ya bad info above....those differnet Audigy cards above require a different driver....so make certain what model of audigy you have, you could have an "LS" but that means different drivers.

edit: sorry 'bout that.
