Cannot install Qicktime

I have tried several times to install this, but I always get a message during installation which says
'QTUninst.DLL" was not successfully downloaded. I also have downloaded the installer several times to no avail.

System is W98, 256M sdram, 30.7G HD, Athlon 1333 at 1500, Abit KT7A, IE 5.1. All W98 updates installed and java enabled. I'd be grateful for any help. TIA

Hmm, the file seems to be one that u would need/use during uninstallation. Maybe it is trying to uninstall an older versiob for you. Go to the control panle and see if you have an older version installed. Then try this, this is a link for the standalon quicktime setup (not the web based one). Hope this helps.

Didn't work. Not listed in add/remove programs. I've even deleted all files with Quicktime (in Find-files) and deleted any such registry entries. Standalone setup gave same result. What next? TIA
