Cannot install Catalyst 13.12

After having problems with Beta 14.1 I uninstalled them and tried to put 13.12 back on, but every time I'd get this message:

Driver Install: the installation failed

I uninstalled 14.1 beta, rebooted, ran http://drivercleaner.net/ to remove all AMD traces, but 13.12 still won't install. Suggestions?

have you tried using DDU in safe mode to remove all traces? maybe use drivers just before 13.12 to see if they will install?

edit: 13.9 doesn't install properly either, wtf..

Did you confirm there are absolutely no traces of AMD software remaining? Or if you didn't disable your Intel graphics in BIOS, is it somehow causing a conflict?

I didn't go digging, I assumed DDU would have taken out all the registry entries?

Didn't even know I had an IGP, I disabled it but still couldn't install 13.12. I'll do a scan to make sure no Intel drivers exist.

Does this look normal for 1 290x plugged in?

Looks strange to me, but someone with experience using that program will probably chime in...

I would even check basic areas like Control Panel/Software to make sure that nothing was missed.

Try run cmd as administrator and type "sfc.exe /scannow" on it. Then use a registry cleaner to erase the drivers remains.

Try having no cards in and boot off the ipu when you are cleaning/rebooting.

Does my board really have IGP? There aren't any video out connectors at the back from what I can remember. I have this board: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3978#sp

Edit: nevermind, I do see an HDMI out port! Thanks for the suggestion ocguy, will try later *fingers crossed*

Final update, I formatted and reinstalled W8; finally back on Catalyst 13.12. Not touching 14s again until it's out of beta.

This was not supposed to happen; my bet was a bug with 14.1 uninstaller.

What else is new. ATI drivers are programmed by interns.......
