Cannot get my bios to flash!

Ok, so I try to flash it and everything goes well. I am using the program where you can flash it from windows not from the floppy. I still get some bios thingy that always says new cpu installed and then I can press f1 to go into bios or press f2 to boot from defaults. My settings in bios do not save. I have bought another battery and replaced the one that came with the motherboard and it still does not save.

When I go into my bios it says I have an American Megatrends bios? Should it say an ASUS bios if I have flashed the ASUS bios?

Flash your BIOS? Did you try using a Maglight?

No AMI (amrican megatrends) is the Correct screen. Some older Asus motherbords used the Award Bios.

If you used the Utility and File that was provided to you by Asus then it should be the correct bios. American Megatrends engineers the bios for Asus and other companies. Just check the BIOS revision on your screen when your pc boots and compaire it against the version posted on Asus' website. Let me know.

You are changing the file on the ROM chip when you flash a BIOS, and if done incorectly it will ruin your equipment.
