cannot find win.com

when im loading up win95, i get the message "cannot find win.com" and then it would goto dos.
what does this mean? how can i "put" back win.com or do i have to format?

In your autoexec.bat make sure there's a Path statement that has C:\WINDOWS.
Example:
SET PATH = C:\WINDOWS; C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND
