You mite have a winsock error

Try to Ping A Domain Names form Dos. ex ping www.abc.com
Then try to ping an ip address
I see you can already do an ftp session so thats ok

If you can't ping Domain Names, but can ping ip's and do an ftp session you have an winsock problem

if you do have a winsock problem and need a fix just let me know

you probably don't have DNS configed right. if you ping yahoo.com and don't get a reply, dns is screwed. DNS = domain name ?search? and it converts the name 'yahoo' in to an ip(internet protocol). your computer then goes to the ip to get the requested info. if the part that looks up the number is broken, then nothing will work (unless you get out some old geeks book from 20 years ago when they didn't yet have domain names and they knew the ips of everything) lol
