Cannot delete emails in Outlook Express Inbox

Sorry I can't give version (at work currently) but I have over 200 emails (many with attachments) in my Outlook Express Inbox and for whatever reason I cannot delete them. Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else? Normally I've been able to delete them but when my ISP changed some settings on their end and I lost access to email for about a week I was no longer able to delete my messages. If it helps I downloaded close to 200 new messages when I got my service back.

hmm...dumb question - are you using IMAP?

If so, then you have to purge the messages after you delete them. If not, then the link posted in the previous reply seems a good place to start as any
