cannot connect 2 PCs

Hi,
I have this problem whereby computerA cannot connect to computerB and computerB cannot connect to computerA on the network. Both computers are able to connect to any computers on the network except each other. Any idea?
thanks

Yeah i have some ideas, would five thousands of them do?

With the information you provided it is impossible to narrow it down.

Which OS, which setup, have you installed the software correctly, have you configured your cards correctly, what does your DNS setup look like, are you part of the same domain and does the PDC recognize them both?

Windows 2000
these 2 machines are not able to ping each other but can ping other computers on the LAN.
