Question cannot backup my ipad

biostud

Lifer
My Ipad Pro running iOS 15.6 has started not to doing backup to icloud claiming there is not enough space. (started a couple of weeks ago)

I have the standard 5GB icloud and the backup of my ipad is roughly 3GB (at least that is what it says).

I have done the following:
Deleted everything on icloud.com including photos, so there is 5GB space free
Disabled backup -> enabled it again
Signed out of the ipad and logged in
Restarted
Deleted all photos/videos on the ipad.

Did you try signing out of icloud and/or apple account? How about a hard restart of the device?

I don't know if it would help though.

Yes I signed out of the icloud, I don't want to hard restart it, there is really not anything important on it. It just annoys me...

As far as I know. a hard restart (forced reboot) doesn't loose anything, just forces the device to reboot. At least on iPhones (I don't have ipads).

I guess it's mostly used when the device won't respond or crashes. It was just a thought.
