Cannot activate NFS Shift 2

So... went and picked up my preorder for Shift 2 this afternoon, and when I attempt to install I'm greeted with the following:

Yeah great job... Since I am physically holding the game case in my hand I was under the impression the game was actually released... Appearently EA knows otherwise...

lol funny/sad thing is the pirates have been playing the game already, and the poor saps who preorder and get the game on the first day can't even play!

I'm attempting to get online support with EA right now. If they don't sort this out ASAP I will be getting an "alternate" copy as well...

same thing happened to Crysis 2 and those who got their pre-orders earlier than the official date. What is the official date on SHift? is it out already? or did you just get yours early?
 
...The game is out. I just bought it at a retail store. And you can verify the release date yourself if you don't believe me.
 
Wow, that's pretty stupid. Yet another case of crappy DRM hindering the people who paid for the software while people who steal it are able to use it just fine.
