Cannot access folder from past user in XP

I had Home Edition and upgraded to XP Pro and I had an administrator folder that I cannot access now.
I switched back to the Home Edition and it still wont let me open the administrator folder.

I know the password but, whenever I do an install in DOS mode it'll prompt me:

Administrator password: XXXXXXXXX

I know the password but it still says it's wrong. Could that have to do with the folder being inaccessible. I cannot even move it or copy it.

You need to take ownership of it through the advanced security properties. XP uses security identifiers which are unique to every user. Administrator on one install will not have the same identifier as administrator on another.
