Canned food expiration dates.

I bought a bunch of canned Cambell's Chunky soup on sale last year (for the coming Zombie Apocalypse - LOL).
It's all 6 months (give or take) past it's expiration date.
Is it still safe to eat?
No bulges in the cans, but I opened a can of clam chowder and it just didn't look right. Smells and tastes fine, so I ate it anyway - but I'm a little concerned...

Six months is nothing. Unless the can is damaged and the contents are exposed to air, bacteria isn't going to grow. The things to look for are big pressure differences when you open the can and unusual odors that would result from bacteria producing gases. If a can looks damaged or rusty, you should always throw it away.
