Canned Alcohol Energy Drinks..

Has anyone tried these? I know Ralphs sells them and so does 7-11. The 2 main brands i see are Sparks and Tilt. Both contain alcohol (i know Tilt is 8% higher than most beers) and both contain caffeine, Taurine, and Guarana.
Now i know the concept isn't weird seeing as many of us drink redbull/vodka when we go out since it does taste decent and helps keep you up, but what of these new drinks? Do they taste good? Do they help you stay up or give you any sort of an extra buzz?

I was going to buy some tonight but i started Lent tonight with a few friends of mine, giving up alcohol and sex for 40 days... and i am not even religious! oye.

I dunno, but i've tried the Budweiser one..and it sucks IMO. I'd rather red bull/vodka it any day. (and i love beer)

wtf? budweiser has one? now that i have not seen!!!! what flavor was it? the Tilt one says it is a malt beverage, not sure about Sparks, i assumed they were like Smirnoff ice flavor drinks with the energy in them, but budweiser? what flavor?

well the girl i am seeing is giving up both for 40 days which means i was unwillingly volunteered for the no sex , but the alcohol her and 2 of our friends who we drink with are giving it up so i figured i might as well join them with that too lol

honestly, i don't even know if they still make it. It's been a while. It was like...um...beer..mixed with a tiny bit of red bull. I don't know..its hard to describe. its gross though.

Why the hell would you mix alcohol (a depressant) with stimulants (caffeine, taurine, guarana)? That's like canceling the effect of the stimulants with the alcohol. If you want a buzz drink some alcohol. If you want to stay awake energy drinks with caffeine FTW.

hhave you ever had a Grey Goose Redbull??? It tastes decent, easier for most than drinking any alcohol straight on the rocks, and you still get buzzed/drunk but don't feel as down? Yes one is an upper and the other a downer which is why when it started gaining popularity they had it on the news several times about how it could be bad for your heart and anyone with heart probs should stay away. i do not have a heart prob and it is so so good. Yager bombers (drop a shot of yager in redbull) is really good too

I had a swig off Sparks about a year ago (already drunk and my friend had one and wanted me to try it).

It wasn't half bad, but that's not my thing.

lol how is it easy on you when it is 40% alcohol? only thing is the lighter the alcohol in color the less likely you will have a hangover, or less severe anyway lol

I've tried Sparks a few times because my roommate drinks it when he wants to get really wasted. It might as well be high abv beer and redbull mixed together, and man, the aftertaste is horrible. We've gotten really wasted off the stuff before and done some stupid stuff so I stopped drinking it.

rofl interesting. if the feeling is good enough the bad after taste might be a small price to pay, but all canned drinks or beers are never cost effective when trying to get buzzed/drunk, hard liquor is always the way to go. maybe i'll give it a try.... in 40 days that is

yeah i am an ebergy drink fan myself. just tonight i went and bought a case of Bawls, some Redline, and a bunch of 5-Hour Energy shots, i have not tried the shots yet but i hear they work and that the graveyard shift cops buy them every night

Does anyone just try taking care of themselves anymore? If we all did, we could live on the energy that proper diet and excersize brings....but noooooo, too many people think they need to get jacked up on something.

Sadly, the demands of life these days, flat out drains people, especially if you live in a metro area.

YUPS! and i don't even work right now! LOL. tuedays and thursdays are my busiest days where i ahve class from 8am-7pm and i have to drive in traffic for an hour before class and after class just to get to and from school. i can look forward to spending at least 8 and up to 14 hours in a given week in traffic alone. i always need a Monster to get me through traffic lol
