yup finally figured it out a while ago lol. you get so much candies when you defeat him. funny how there is more afterwards too!
 
Finally got around to beating the Dev (getting lucky to be honest).

How do you buy Level 2+ bugs? Mine only shows level 1 bug button. Do I need to have a min amount of LPs for the Level 2 button to appear?
 
I think once it passes 100 million then it just dumps them all into lollypops at once (at least that's what it did for me). I think it goes to 100 million so you at least get a chance to use that 3rd bug
(since it's the only bug that triples the candies, essentially allowing you to infinitely triple your candies).

lol you guys are harder core than i am, made it to about 100 million candies and then was satistfied enough with my progress to consider myself a winner

Not hardcore. I ended up just opening up the java console and editing stuff after I beat the game.

All the source code is available to download, also. Just go to "view source" on the main page.
 
damnit hit load instead of save (wasn't really looking) and reloaded my game from about 2 weeks ago. had 20 million more candies candies and and 50 million more lollies before
 
I guess once you have enough lollipops to spam the level 3 bug, the game is over. Infinite candies and 1 hit kill sword...

Yep pretty much. I have a bazillion * 10^90 of everything now.

I haven't tried, but I think I could kill the developer without hitting the magic key.

But, as usual, it's not free : you need lollipops to fully access the computer and execute bugs.
