Throat cancer can be a nasty one. Fortunately it sounds like they caught it early enough for treatment. Hang in there and never give up.

It's rare you'll find a doctor that is 100% your advocate in the medical community. A lot of times you need to push, hard, if you feel like something is wrong.

My dad died of esophageal cancer 2 years ago. He kept saying something was wrong and they kept saying it was an ulcer. He wasted over 6 months, time that might have let him survive, but they ignored him.

Hang in there man. Do everything they tell you to do. Keep your energy up, drink shakes if you have to, exercise, and remain positive. All of that will get you much further than sitting around wasting away, regardless of the diagnosis.

hang in there man and god bless. There are a bunch of us dealing with medical issues on atot so if you ever want to commiserate we will be here.

Best of luck, hope they fix you up and you feel better. You've been dealing with this a long time, at least you know what's what now so you can go about correcting the issue. Good luck!

have you ever considered a raw juice diet? just saying because i was run out of here because of considering juicing as a way to defeat cancer. just mho.

soylent will give him 2000 calories a day and 100% of all nutrients. He can also adjust how think it is with water and not affect much. It was just a suggestion to make sure his body is getting all it needs to help with his fight.

A raw juice diet? Are you fucking kidding me?

There isn't a single statistically significant, peer reviewed, and scientifically legitimate study that has shown that juicing does anything for cancer.

Man, I am sorry to hear of your problems and sympathize with you regarding dealing with the pain (raging RA sufferer here, chemo fun and all). I wish you the best of luck and if you hit the chemo, LISTEN to the docs and follow through with every detail. Chemo will knock you on your ass so if you are heading that way, be mentally ready to deal with the difficulties that come with it.

Best wishes to you and your family and good luck!

Thanks.

6 weeks of chemo and radiation, starting next week or the week after. Might need to have a feeding tube installed as it is fairly swollen and my throat will probably be hyper sensitive.

It's only a couple months though.... I can do this.. I can do this. I will do this!
