Canceling a bid at UBID.com -- any ideas?

I accidentally bid for the wrong item. Is there a way to cancel the bid?

hell no they won't let you cancel it

unless of course, it turns out to be a really good deal in your favor...
in which case they will:

1.
cancel it themselves claiming "out of stock"

or

2.
charge you excessive shipping fees to make up the difference

But I remember canceling an order with them before. And it was at an auction for some Rockwell modems. Was that a mistake on their part?

Can I cancel my card? Can I change my address? Is there ANYTHING I can do?

Okay. I decided that I should use a different strategy.

I cancelled my credit card.
I changed my user profile information.

I REALLY DON'T WANT THIS ITEM.

I hope I can escape the $20 credit card decline fee.

Is this the way to go?

That sounds about right. They can't trace anything. THEY JUST LOST A CUSTOMER ANYWAY!
