Today is a big day in Canadian Parliament. PM Harper is leading his Conservative government in a debate on a motion to provide air-strike support to the efforts against ISIS. It will pass, but not without some pointless debate.
It's pointless for a few reasons (aside from the fact that it is a foregone conclusion that ISIS needs to be eradicated and Canada should assist in the international coalition). First, our leader of the official opposition is more concerned with cost and exit strategy than justice. Second, the leader of our third party, Justin Trudeau, doesn't have a clue what is going on and instead of having an educated opinion he is doing what he does best: pandering to women. His own party is currently arguing against him in his assertion that Canada should sit by the sidelines, wave pom-poms, and make sure everyone has enough gatorade.
All this despite overwhelming support among Canadians to have an active military role. Trudeau is such an embarrassment to Canada.
