Canadian Forest Fire Smoke Thread

Looks like a lot of us are getting hit with smoke from our forest fires this year.

Today it's pretty bad here in London, Ontario. The haze is almost like fog right now. The smell is quite strong and is hard on my eyes.

Anyone else getting this crap?

Some might have to. Here on the Left Coast it hasn't been bad, had a little smoke for a few days a few weeks ago.

Yes a week ago it was very hazy. Decided not to go running and stayed inside and ran air conditioner.

It's pretty hazy here today (northern IL), hasn't been bothering me too much but the air quality was like 197 earlier.

Things are better today but it all depends on the wind as some days are better than others. I think I've gotten practically immune to the smell now.

Last night when I got home around 11p the air was dead-still and it smelled a bit like a campfire again.

Today it's mostly cloudy/hazy and has a little bit of that weird "orange" tinge to the sky BUT the air at ground level isn't nearly as terrible as seen a few weeks ago.

Tell you what though.... despite not really needing it yet (nearly in July!) I'm installing my AC later today.

Hazy here in WV. I could smell smoke last night and a faint whiff of it today. I can't see the mountains today. Wunderground says we have an air quality of 177. I have no idea how close that is to my area since I don't see many readings on the map in WV.

I check some Chicago live cams yesterday. Very smoggy. Friend there say it smells like burning plastic.

Hazy in MD. Dunno if it's smoke, or our awful humidity, but there's code orange air alerts for today/tomorrow.

You suppose all the smoke is what's keeping things cooler here? It's been way cooler than usual so far this year.

our Air Quality Health Index hit 10 yesterday which is very bad and peaked at 10+ during the night.
