I saw this earlier. So...not only is their tank down with a flat track...but their airplane has crashed? Sounds like it's time for Detroit to invade!!

FU WE'RE BETTER.

I'm wondering a bit about the ejection itself. Is there a limit on the amount of ejections one can have before you're not allowed to fly? That thing must do some horrible damage to your back

The old mk.I's were a bitch, but any new ones are okay from what I heard.

You get a tie for each ejection you do from the company that makes the ejection seat. One guy has 7...there may be people with more.

He was doing a high pass but lost an engine. That's when the spiral kicked in. He was intentionally stalling.

Bullshit! The F-18 flies fine with a single engine, if he was doing a high pass and lost one he could have easily landed safely.

Watching the video he was doing a superslow, nose-up low pass and one engine quit. He didn't have the speed or the altitude to be able to recover when it yawed.

Alright boss. :\ DnD says he was doing a High Alpha Pass.

If JAG is any indication of realistic Naval procedures and policy, you are allowed at least 4 or 5 crashes.

If the movie Hot Shots has any indication of realism, pilots are liable. You can pay it off at 10 bucks a week if you don't have collision insurance.

If Superman is any indication of realism, you can just fly the Space Shuttle really really fast in orbit, reverse time, and avoid Crashes that put you at the limit.

Oops, I meant to say no one has yet to match the F-18 capability's, fixed it. My point is why develop a weapon system of any kind if there is no reasonable expectation of it ever being needed..

Why? Because your future enemies are working on better and better stuff. The moment you stop, your opponent gets an advantage.

Complacency loses wars.
