Canada's wonderland question

Is it mostly water rides or rollar coasters?

I've got an application for a graduate field trip to the Ontario Science Centre and Wonderland that's due monday.

I really don't care for water rides at all, but I'll go on all of the rollar coasters. Is Wonderland the place for me? And is it "divided" i.e. water rides this way, rollar coasters that way sort of thing? I just don't want to find myself bored for half a day because everyone else likes the water rides, know what I mean?

Lets see how much I can remember:

Water rides -- Whitewater Canyon, Zumbah Flume, Timberwolf Falls, Pipe Works Waterpark.

Roller coasters -- Minebuster, Top Gun, Vortex, Skyrider, Dragonfire, The Bat, Wilderbeest, Thunder Run, and then all the po' rides they've put in the past few years.

Po rides?

Sorry, they used to have a new roller coaster every 2-3 years, but they have been cheaping out lately. I think the newest roller coaster is Top Gun.

There is LOTS to do however, and nobody will get bored, don't worry.

*edit* although they might be slowing down on the building of roller coasters because of the lack of free land up there.

I think it's pretty even, with a slight nod to coasters...

I didn't think Zumba Flume was still running, or is it in the Kiddie side now???

The place is not laid out in any fashion so that you can figure out where you're going. It's like they blew up a bomb of roller coasters and waterslides and they just landed wherever.

No organization whatsoever. Very easy to get lost. 🙂

The water stuff is all in a seperate area, and the rollercoasters kick ass! Just don't go on a weekend unless you like waiting 2 hours per ride.

One person is telling me the water rides are separate, one is telling me they're mingled with everything else.

Which is it?!

its like any theme park from what i remember, isn't it a 6 flags themepark? gah i can't remember, last time i went to canadas wonderland was in 1989🙂 haha i was barely tall enuph to ride stuff back then, but i went on everything bwahaha! its mixed, all these damn parks are the same

They're seperate, don't listen to that crackwhore. 😉

In one area is the water slides, wave pool, etc...the regular rides are scattered everywhere else.

Can you elaborate on that?

christ, just look at the map! it shows everything.

I'm surprised you didn't go to the website in the first place.

What he means is that there are some "water" rides in other places of the park but it doesn't involve getting into your bathing suit etc. but you can get wet if you go on them. geez.

Canada's wonderland? Is that some sort of sick, Canada sucks joke? You have offended me, although I must admit i've never been to canada nor do I have any desire to go. 😛

zs 😀

I've been there several times the past couple of years. Yes, the water rides and roller coasters and such are separate. The roller coasters kinda suck in my opinion but it must be because I've been on them so many times. It's a great place to spend a day though. Enjoy!
