Canada plans to mint $1 million coin

LOL i like how the article ends with comparing the weight of the coin as that of a hockey player. As if that's the only reference that Canadians would understand.

Cheryl: Well, after you left, he started getting into drugs and stuff. Things got really bad when he...
Jack Spade: Well, what? Cheryl, come on!
Cheryl: He started wearing gold chains, Jack.
Jack Spade: Oh, God, no!

No........wait........wait...........here we go..........

"Uh, yes, I'm here to pick up my Bughatti Veyron!! You guys take coin, right?" 😎

So I can buy it for $7.50 US? 😉

This joke really doesnt apply anymore, with the US dollar falling so much over the past years and the Canadian dollar going strong...

Many experts were predicting soon 1 CAD = 1 USD

Right now, 1 USD = 1.18 CAD and this has been the strongest it has been for a while...

why not platinum? Would be a much smaller coin compared to gold.

Maybe they can bury this one in the centre ice of the next World Hockey Championship, just to maybe improve the performance of the Canadian Men's Team.

Well, I don't know how things work over there in "Cambridge", but here in Toronto we measure pretty much everything in terms of hockey players.

At the butcher: "Can I get a hockey player-sized piece of beef?"
