why would anyone bother to invade Canada? I seriously doubt US will formally "invade" Canada like a full scale war. Your military does NOT need subs for defense.

It's too cold to invade Canada. Canadians, on the other hand, invade Florida on a regular basis! Personally, I am always intimidated by the ones who come in the winter and swim in the Gulf when it is like 50-60 degrees F. I can't even put my little toe in if it is below 78... and snow scares me...

I believe those are *American* radars we have installed in the far North... I think the Ruskis would object to having those on their land . Like you (and others) have said, between the Americans and the Brits I'm not worrying much about anyone attacking us.

Canada's pathetically underfunded military is allowed by the CAN gov't because they know that if the sh*t really hit the fan the US would help Canada out. It's like being on a team project and you don't do jack sh*t because you know that the other person will make up the slack since they don't want to fail.
