Can your phone do this?

Just tried it with a Moto G (4.4.2) and LG Optimus G (4.1.2) - Both using Chrome Beta

Moto G has Quad Core 1.2 GHz S4 with Adreno 305 - Loaded fine, scrolls the page very smooth, but GIFs are probably only 5 FPS. Very laggy gifs.

LG Optimus G has Quad Core 1.5 GHz S4 Pro with Adreno 320 - Loaded Fine, Scrolls the Page Smooth, GIFs are definitly much smoother than the Moto G - Probably 20+ FPS or so. Still skipping some frames.

Will try my work phone (iphone 5s) tomorrow - I forgot it in my car.

All the gifs play at full speed on my Note 3 in Chrome. Not so much the Browser.

Snapdragon 800 quad 2.2ghz adreno 330 3gb ram.

Note 3:
Chrome: yes
Chrome Beta: no (surprising since in general the beta is better)
Firefox: first gifs stutter but after they all fully load they play full speed).

Weird. I just tried the site on Chrome on my Moto G. It was probably 10 FPS, at least double what it was in Chrome Beta.

Odd, as I find Chrome Beta just as fast as any browser (better than Chrome) with all the Google Integration love.

My wife left for a while with her Optimus G, will try it on that too.

And I'll give it a go on a my wife/daughters Kobo Arc 10HD Tablet (Has a Tegra 4) and my Samsung Tab Pro 8.4 (Snap 800 + Adreno 330)

Hard to say considering how flawed existing benchmark tools are.

Besides, even something like GIF animation performance would definitely be highly dependent on software.

HTC Sensation with Snapdragon S3, under clocked to 1ghz has issues rendering those gifs. 0.5fps max.

Nexus 4 totally croaks on it. The images are all super choppy.

On my PC it's flawless, and I can't stop looking at those, so mesmerizing. :p

My GS3 can play them back...with skipped frames. When I scroll it is choppy and I have to stop and wait a second for it to catch up and start playing. It appears to play at full speed with a half second hiccup that skips a frame.

Basically doesn't work lol.

I just tried it on my Z2760 clover trail win 8 tablet. Page took a while to load but the gifs animation is perfect.

On my L920 with the old dual core S4, IE10 takes a while loading it, and it stutters after scrolling, but UC Browser loads faster and is smooth consistently once loaded.

The gifs pause while scrolling on my iPhone 5s, but they appear to run smoothly without skipping frames when not scrolling.

Edit: Tried it on my nexus 7. Its definitely noticeably choppier than the iPhone.

Runs terrible on my GS4. Looking at the CPU frequency monitor, it doesn't look like it's even spooling that up to full speed. There's some sort of software bottlenecking going on here.

Note 2 runs awfully. Tried cpuz and all the 4 cores showed full speed of 1600MHz each. Right after closing the tab they went back to 400-1200MHz.

Note 2 does pretty poorly until the page is loaded up but it seems to run the GIFs fine after that (using Chrome).

Since it was brought up earlier, I can confirm the Venue Pro 8 handles that page easily.

iPhone 5S no issues. Images pause when you scroll, which is normal iOS behavior, but once they start back up they're pretty fluid.

No issues on a Venue 11 Pro 5130, either.

Lumia 521 actually has fluid animation of the first gif that is in view after the page finishes loading, things get choppy/pause when scrolling then IE crashes when you get down to about the 5th or 6th gif.

Kind of shocked it actually worked as well as it did.

My laptop can't play it without serious dropped frames or lag :(

Moto X - Chrome, scrolling is smooth and GIFs appear to play at full speed but have random dropped frames.

I had issues with Chrome beta a while back and reverted.
