It's a Danger Hiptop, and quite cool I might add. I'm hoping Verizon adds one to their phone lineup so I can get one when I renew my contract.

How is it for actually talking on the phone? I'd think it'd be a little weird. Or do you just use the hands free kit?

Another cool feature:

Have you ever tried Fandango, the online movie ticket reservations, because you can process your order on the T-mobile Sidekick and have them scan the barcode from the screen. You don't need to print it out! Your confirmation is on the screen and your confirmation e-mail is there as well!

Um, I still don t get why you're wandering around a store looking up barcodes on the internet. How is that useful?

The Tmobile Sidekick is pretty cool. Is the color one out yet? I haven't paid much attention to Tmobile lately.

Its set for after May of this year.

I'm going to trade my current T-Mobile Sidekick in for the new one and I get the whole $249 value of the device to the new device.

Sweet, I didn't even know a color one was in development...

A couple of weeks ago I saw an actual color one.. pretty darn nifty. (My brother, it turns out, happened to know the danger.com CEO, who gave him a prototype.)

I've never wanted a Palm or any other PDA, but I wouldn't mind one of these. :)

Maybe a really stupid question but...

If you using this thing to create bar codes, so that you dont have to carry the object to the scanner, what happens when you actually want to buy the product? You gotta walk back again, dont ya?
Seems like a waste of time, energy, and sanity.
