Can you visit a doctor for allergies?

My allergies are driving me nuts, I sneeze like a mutha. My mom keeps telling to visit a doctor, but frankly I think that's kinda weak sauce. I think you should see a doctor if you got shot or something, but for allergies?

Well if it's a shot you want, you can get allergy shots.

Yeah, I went to my doctor for mine. He had me tested for allergies, and I eventually started getting shots for them to help my body build up against them. That was years ago, and I'm pretty decent with allergies now 🙂

Absolutely. Allergies can make your life a living hell, & desensitization shots can make a HUGE difference.

They'll stick you in the arm ~15 times, or the back ~40 times to find out what you're allergic to. Then they'll make up some nifty serums that expose you to what you're allergic to. Eventually your body realizes those things really aren't worth freaking out about, & hopefully it will stay that way.

I went, since I figure im paying for health insurance, minus well....

But then, why goto the eye doctor when your eyes arent broken? Or to a dentist when your teeth arent rotten?

Just get some, I got some Flonase, it works, minus the "niraga falls" effect from the nose....

Yeah my wife has bad allergies, but luckily worked for an allergist for a year. She got free shots and testing. The testing is around $600 if you get the full range, but the shots are fairly cheap and they do make a huge difference, at least they did for her. Now that she doesn't take shots she is miserable 🙁

Damn. I wish i had insurance, for certain reasons I dont though. It would be expensive.
