Can you use 2x PS/2 with Logitech MX Duo?

I'm thinking about picking up a Logitech MX Duo. The connectors for it however are 1 USB and 1 PS/2...how exactly does this work? Can you put a USB->PS/2 adapter on the USB connector?

Just curious if it'll work with my PS/2-only KVM...

Well, I have an MX700 mouse. Its wire is USB, but there's a PS/2 adapter included and it worked fine with my KVM (cheap ATEN brand).

mx duo has two PS/2 connectors.. one for mouse, one for keyboard. i'm not sure about KVMs for mx duo (i hear lots of issues about the hot keys), but the PS/2 ports are not a concern. :)

Just had my friend look at his - he says it is clearly a combined stuck-together cable with 1 USB and 1 PS/2, the mouse being USB and the keyboard being PS/2

...think its ok to just use a PS/2 adapter on the mouse's USB?

if you want to use usb then all you need to do is only plug in the usb. the usb will work for the mouse/keyboard. if you decide to use ps/2 then you would need to plug both ps/2 mouse and keyboard

It works on the older 'elite' duo. why would they have one ps/2 connector at all if you couldn't do it? (the whole thing works just on usb anyway if you hook it up that way)

actually it's the other way around... mouse being PS/2 and keyboard being USB. but that's ok, because a usb-PS/2 adapter is included for keyboard.
