It can easily be done. Freshman year of HS I broke my right wrist in 2 spots snowboarding and was in a cast for 3 months. By the time I could use my right hand again I could legibly write left handed, play ping pong, shoot pool, and I even went bowling once left handed and bowled a 99. And before that happened I was in no way ambidextrous.

It is probably possible. Although your other hand may not be as coordinated as the one your use to write with now. When I was 6, I had a brain tumor removed and I suffered some pretty bad nerve damage which affected the motor movements of the right side of my body. I still have some of the paralysis effects I suffered afterwards. Anyway, the right side of my body became very uncoordinated and so I started writing with my left as well as anything else that requires coordination.

It takes practice but yes you too, can be ambidexterous. Just PM me for my brand new program on using both hands. It's only $19.95 plus email shipping and handling charges of $5. It can be yours just like the tens of other suckers... I mean people that have bought my .pdf pamphlet! ;)

Being left-handed, I've learned to adapt to the way everything is made for right-handed people. I use the mouse with my right, scissors, etc. I can write with both, but my handwriting is better with my left, though not by much.

I've taught myself.

I can throw and catch with both hands. Left = more power, right = more accuracy.
I try to write a bit with my right hand every now and then...it's still chicken scratch but slightly less offensive chicken scratch than when I started.
Oh and I polish the bishop with either hand now too.
