Can you sync an iPod Touch with your iTunes library wirelessly?

Maybe I've been living under a rock, but can you sync a Touch to your iTunes library wirelessly? This would be MUCH more convenient than connecting it to a USB port. If it can, I'm going to have to get one ASAP!

To the best of my knowledge, no you cannot sync wirelessly. Maybe it will come with OS 3.0, maybe it won't.

Well that sucks. You'd think someone like Apple would be the first to jump on this. 🙁 Well, let's hope it comes out with OS 3.0.

Eh, I'd like it to for the sake of updating things other than music, but if someone is transferring dozens of new albums in and such it'd be a good way to kill the battery... since it's not plugged in.

Not always, if you keep it in a dock or plugged into the wall. It would be nice to be able to sync it without having to connect it to the computer all the time. Especially if you could set it up to wirelessly sync your notes, calender, and contacts automatically. It's not in the 3.0 Beta AFAIK but it's definitely something that they should get working on.

I have to agree here, the main thing I've learnt with my iTouch when out and about is to turn the internet off whenever you don't need it. You can struggle to get 4 hours of battery life if the internet is running on the iTouch, but can easily get double that if you shut it down. Turning the screen brightness down to a low level is also a good idea as the default level is ridiculously bright for most situations and it is the second major battery drainer.
