Hey all, i am going to get rid of my Linux partition for awhile and wondered, can i just FDISK, create a new partition, and not install an OS on it?

It will be used for MP3's and Videos.. yet still search and use my files from XP

Yeah you don't need an OS, just make sure you format it after FDISK.
I have a bunch of drives, one of them partitioned. I only have the OS installed on my C: partitioin, all the other partitions and drives are only formatted.
