Can you split a passworded zip file?

There are multiple files inside, can you split it up without a password?

Sure, you can just blindly cut up the file and it'll be fine as long as you reassemble it properly.

Split was the wrong word, can you extract a single file from multiple zipped files without a password? Of course you will still a password to decompress the single file though.

In most cases, no you can't. Winzip & Winrar protect the Archive itself from opening without the password. Now if the Archive opens with no password, you can extract the file.
The file itself may have a password on it.
