Can you SLI a 7600 and a 6800 together???

yea, i put in both forums so i'd get a quick answer. no one was answering in 'video' ^_^
thanks for hte input. Was just curious b/c my friend SLI'd a 6600 and 6600GT together, it just knocked the GT down to 6600 speeds.

yes you can. you need to soder the 3rd pin to the 6th. on both cards. then make sure the 6800 is found first.

You forgot the most important part!
One has to be AGP and the other PCI-X!

real answer - nope, they have to be the same series card, both 7800GTs, both 7900GTXs, 6600GTs.

you CAN mix and match vendors, like have a bfg 6800GS and an evga 6800GS. just no 7800GT and a 6800GT.

oh, even the letters have to be matched. 7900GT cant be paired with a 7900GS/7950GT, whatever.

hope that made sense...
