Is it possible to setup a digital camera to act like a webcam so others can see me? What software do I need? Particularly a Canon S110. Thanks!

Yes to both questions, possibly. The full answer is that it depends on the camera. With my Kodak DC4800, yes. In fact, there is also software to create a motion sensor effect, so that the camera records an image onto the computer whenever something passes into it's field of vision (or when you throw a left hook in your sleep). The software I use for these things is made for my winTV PVR card, but there is different stuff out there, just have to look for it.

Some webcam already comes with software for motion detection... the Creative webcam for example (the black one), comes with software that enables the webcam to take a picture and store it either locally or remotely whenever something moves...

Otherwise I dont know of any free software you can download that does this... and I would imagine not every webcam can do this too (I dont think the logitech webcams can do this)...

I got a Fuji Finepix 2600 and they have software to detect motion and record, but what I need is maybe a client or program to actually upload it to a site and have it update every so often, like a live feed (although I'm not sure how good it will be on a 56k dialup account). There must be programs out there to do this, right?

**EDIT**
camarades.com has an online community. Gonna sign up. Anybody use this yet? Pretty good community?
