Can you run defrag with RAID 1 (mirroring)?

Can you run defrag with RAID 1 (mirroring)? I'm using win2k on my server and want to move to a raid 1 using a promise fasttrack 100. Would there be a problem with defragging on a mirrored drive? If the drives are mirror sector by sector, then there shouldn't be. However, if the drives just are copies of each other, then defrag might have problems.

Anybody have an answer? Better yet, anybody have experience with such a situation?

Thanks..

I would be almost certain that defrag would work on a mirrored, RAID 1, drive. My RAID striping drive of course defrags without a problem. To an OS, a RAID configuration will act as one drive.

However, since I am not 100% certain, I would like to have a definitive answer too.
