Can you reticulate a spline?

Until today I didnt even know my spline could be reticulated.

Reticulating Spline = The process of combining many short lines and curves into longer, interpolated ones called "splines."

Figured this was Simcity topic. With Sim city 2000 I never saw an archipelago takeoff =(

you had to build like 50 of the most expensive archipelago. then they all took off and left your city barren hahaha google it. i think im pretty acurate.

i lost my whole city =(

I've built cities in Sim City 2, totally packed with launch arco's. But they never launched. I've seen a funny warning "The exodus begins". And digging through the installed files, I saw a picture of some cow. So uh, how do you "beat" the game and/or have your arco's launch?

Actually its 300 Launch arcologies @ $200,000 each that you have to build. Im up to 267. 😱

Yeah, that's my kind of city. 🙂
I'd have one PD per Launch Arcology though - Arcology was 4x4, PD was 3x3; surrounding each PD would be parks, so each city block would be 8x8. (It's been quite a few years, but I still remember that?)
My last city that I remember was filled with nothing but that, plus some other utilities, like water (desalination), transit perhaps, and so on.
What are you using for power production?

I'd kind of cheat a little - in the map editor mode, make a big hill in one corner of the map, and cover it with falling water. Then in-game, gradually fill it with hydroelectric dams. It's a nice, scalable power source, and the dams don't need to be rebuilt every 50 years. 🙂

Oh man....I don't know if I can go back. SimCity4 was the last of that genre that I played. Newer games generally have much better interfaces than their predecessors had, but even with some of them, I'd probably do better with a script to create cities the way I like them.:awe:

Thanks for your insight, Jeff. Originally, my city was powered using hydro electricity, but I needed more land for real estate, so I switched to two fusion reactors to power everything. For some reason, either because of the year or something else, the computer is not making me replace them every 50 years. Not that it would matter a whole lot anyway. My current population is 10,000,000+, so Im generating about $200,000 every year in tax income. I did that by disabling Engergy Effeciency in the ordinance window, and have just enough police stations to keep crime down and without making it an expensive police state.

Reticulate a spline?

You'd better get Eits in here. He's the resident chiropractor. I'm sure he can give you advice on that...😛
