Can you read a schematic diagram?

I can and get frustrated at the guys that act shocked that I can because -

[*]I am female
[*]I am blonde

Get a grip!

There was a thread posted with a young woman building a computer by herself. This is encouraging. There is nothing wrong with being a "tom boy" now. ;)

Just because you can read a schematic does no make you a Tom Boy, it makes you intelligent, something that is sorely lacking here.

How would you define 'read a schematic'? Just because I know the components, doesnt mean I can tell you what the circuit is doing (especially if its one of those black-magic analog circuits).

Fix the problem! LOL

Yes when someone hands me a "squawk report" I can troubleshoot a mixer, amp, etc. myself.

QFT.

I can read schematics. I'd also like to throw in that electronics workers have it easy...the schematic is pretty much what's on the circuit board. You don't have to reach into impossible places to undo bolts like you do on cars. I spent HOURS pulling off the head of the van today...why do they need THAT many vacuum lines? In such awful places?

That is all.

only very basic ones... but i can draft a set design and a light plot, if that counts for anything :)

I had better bl**dy be able to, it's the bread and butter of my line of work.
MIC/MMIC schematics are kinda funky though - Q^2 + 1 matching, compensation, etc.
