Can you raise thePS2 port sample rate in Xp like you can in win98?

I have the Intellimouse explorer 3.0 and it doesnt have PS2 sample rate, just pointer acceleration. Thats not the same thing is it?
 
So then you have intellimouse software 4.0 correct?

Go into the mouse program, then hardware, then properties, then advanced settings.
 
Shudde I thank you for the help. WinXP has a PS2 rate adjuster built in that I found. Yes I do have the 4.0 mouseware but now winxp wont accept it.
