The two times I've seen that ending, I've thought, "he was behind the corner of a building. Why did he step out into the open before firing? Why didn't he fire from his cover? What an idiot." Plus, the unbelievable coincidence of the shadow being in the perfect place. The triple Lindy was more believable.

The ending of Network is up there for me, among some others already mentioned. Also, the movie is unbelievably relevant today, nearly 40 years later. The ending is just so absurd, a perfect black comedy punchline.
