Can you overclock an Apple Cpu?

Never heard of an overclocked g4 or g5. Back in the day I thought someone had overclocked a performa or something or other.

Yes, I believe that some G4 mobo's have an FSB jumper that you can mess with in the vain hope of getting some more go.

I know that G4's can be overclocked. There is a jumper that let you set it to different speeds. The G4 my dad uses, an 867mhz, I saw overclocked on a website to 933 and 1ghz.

Overclocking a first gen G3 (I think that's the series) used to involve desoldering and soldering a board-level resistor, those really small, flat things. That took nerves of steel or a bottle of whiskey handy. :p
