I can objectively rate my SO on just physical attractiveness at a 9 if we go by 10 as a supermodel+unattainable.
I actually made a comparison one night when she and I went out club hopping with a group of friends. I observed there were plenty of good-looking women but came to realize that she was one of them and actually can hold her own and puts her at the 90-percentile. I even thought "damn, i did good by marrying her" lol, coz that would be the toughest measurement to do by gauging her against a crowd of women all decked out in their nice club outfits, hair and make-up all perfectly done, young professionals all ready to party up the nightscene.

When I first saw my bf (at a bar) I thought he was a 10 and so I guess at that time I did objectively rate him a ten. Now, I love him so much that he would never be anything but a 10.
Perfection is unachievable. Those that are rating a 10 are actually dissatisfied with the relationship on the inside and are using the scale to induce an artificial belief of complete satisfaction.
Those that rate a 9/10 enjoy their relationship far more in fact.

Actually, we might be rounding up. Yes, I do believe that my wife is in the 99th percentile for appearance. Just because she isn't the hottest person that I've ever seen doesn't make her a 9.
By the way, the people who sit on the side and criticize other people's relationships are lonely. And probably assholes too.

HONEST AND OBJECTIVE:
Girl #1: Lena - Really sweet and fairly cute, but a 6 for bod. Not much, but that was a good thing. NOT MUCH.
Just enough curves to be considered a female, but not a fatty so she gets bonus points.
Girl # 2: Tess - 8. She was hot, nasty hot. Like Rhona Mitra nasty hot but she had a prettier face. Not school-girl pretty. Back alley, take-me-home-and-mess-me-up kinda pretty. To this day I cant figure out how she was with me for any length of time.
Girl # 3: Tanya - 9. Another one I cant figure out. How did she find me attractive? I might have to call her up one day and ask her.
She has a myspace page. Maybe I can get a good quality pic for you guys. Danced in Vegas for one summer, but she didnt have a fake body or fake face like most other strippers there. I met her at a friends party. SUPER cute and nice goodies too.
Have boinked plenty of other girls over the years. Some were 8's, most were 5 and below.
But the ladies above were my special friends. Never wanted to marry any of them, but they all have a special place in my heart.
I'd like to think I can be objective, but the first one I havent seen since High School, the 2nd not since I got back from my deployment to Kosovo in '98, and the third for well over a year.
EDIT:
On my scale, 10 would be like a Playboy centerfold, except she looks like that in real life, not an airbrushed photo.
Most American women would be in the 1-3 range, and thats because theres a crapload who dont seem to care about their bodies or faces. They would rather bore me with their stories of glandular problems while scarfing down 3 Big Macs and a Diet Coke.
The fake hotties I see a lot of in American society today would be in the 4-6 range. I dont think a half-pound of makeup is very attractive. Nor is anorexia.
Most of the gals I saw in Barcelona would be 7's and 8's, with an occasional 9. But a 9 over there looks about as good as a 10 here but is as common as a 7.
Most of the women in Iceland would be an 8 or 9, with 10's not being super rare.
I would also have to say the average English or Scottish girl is two points higher than the average American girl. If you ever visit Edinburgh or London you will find that all those stories of white, pasty skin and poor dental care are GREATLY exaggerated.

She wasn't perfect but anyone who seeks perfection will probably not find it. She was a bit too emotional, naive when it came to men, stuff like that. In terms of looks folks would probably have rated her a 7 but to me she was a 10, there was just something about her that drove me absolutely crazy, she was like viagra in a person. Was I happy, hell yes I was. My time with her was the only time I had ever been happy.
