Can you mod a GeForce2>Quadro w/o soldering?

Looking to upgrade my venerable Matrox G400 to a Geforce 2 Pro 64mb video card. Play a few games but mostly used for Web Design Apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash etc.)

Got Matrox card a few years ago for stellar 2d and I haven't been disappointed! However would like to upgrade to Geforce2 and mod to a Quadro (due to poor GeForce 2 2d); I have seen the links on how to do this but looks like it requires soldering which I am not a pro at. Does anyone know if there is a way around this?

Here are my current Specs...

MSI K7TPro2A
Duron600@950
256mb Crucial CAS2
IBM 60GB 75GXP Hard Drive
Matrox G400
SB Live Value
Netgear 10/100 NIC
Toshiba 12x DVd
TDK 12x/10x/32x CDRW
1.44 floppy
Antec SX1030B Case
Linksys 10/100 4 Port Router
Sony E400 19" Monitor
Boston Acoustics BA4800 speakers

I doubt it, and that's not really going to help the 2d(but there is a mod for that, requiring more soldering)

BA- Thanks for the info I have seen this site before. But what I really need to know is what kind of results will the RF mod produce? Will the 2d be comparable to Radeon or Matrox G400? Is it worth the risk?

Also I have heard some GeForce 2 Card manufacturers like Visiontek or Elsa have a different implementation of the RF resistor which yields better 2d than other manufacturers...can anyone verify this? How does the 2d on one of these cards compare to 2d on a RF modded one? Is it even necessary to RF mod on either of these cards (Visiontek/Elsa)?

Any input on this would be appreciated.

the Quadro mod and removing the RF filter are two different things. Modding it into a Quadro will have no effects on 2d, it only enables a few features, mainly for OpenGL 3D apps.

Removing the RF filter will improve the 2D, especially at high resolutions and ref. rates
