can you make your own antenna for a mini pci wireless card

I have a 2100 intel wireless card. And I was wondering if i can make an antenaa for it. Does anyone know if it is possilbe and if the parts are readily available.


And if it is not possible is there a place where i can order the item at a reasonable cost??

yes of course it is possible.. why would you even think to post your question if you honestly didnt know. go to google and type cantenna. There are LOTS of different link that you will get. I just built 2 antennas and all you need is the correct connectors(can buy online) and the proper cable(i used rg58 cb cable because that is what i had)

I was referring to an antenna for a mini pci card that will fit inside a laptop.

You can, if you can get the connectors. They use a UFL connector. But you'd either have to cut a hole in the casing to allow the wires to come out, or disassemble the laptop to route them to an opening, or to route them internally like they are with laptops designed with wireless. Once you have the wires routed outside, you could make any sort of antenna you want. I'm not sure how internal antennas are designed, they may just be the bare wires for all I know.

As for alexXx, pretty stupid response. Lots of things aren't possible even though you'd think they would be. Or vice versa.
