Is it possible to install a Mac OS on a PC? If so, is it possible to setup a dual boot with Windows on another partition?

I'm trying to learn the Mac OS without buying another computer.

It would be great if there was some kind of tutorial software that would emulate the Mac OS that I could also install on a PC.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Buy a mac mini, they are cheap, and are a good way to get some OSX exp.

or you could search for a vmware file that is floating around of the dev version of macOSX, but I would stay away from things of that ill repute.

You could try going the PearPC route, but you're really best off getting a mini if you are truly interested in learning OSX. Considering a legal version of OSX runs 100+ dollars, the mini becomes just a bit easier to justify that way (not to mention the performance/workability will be much higher than emulation).

Wasn't BeOS supposed to be a Mac-like operating system for the PC? If you computer is a few years old, you may be able to install that OS for free. I don't know that it is close enough for what you need to do.

Be is quite a bit different, but at this point not really an alternative. I think the ex-Be guys just launched a new pay/use OS called Zeta though?

In that link it will show you a video of a guy runnning MAC OS X on an Intel based PC/laptop, and everybody knows that OS X has been cracked to run on PC and now it's all over download sites.

I think I linked to another thread but it seems they have took off that link for the video, I have 2 videos and one of them shows you the laptop powering on and booting to OS X with no bugs at all .
But I don't know about any websites to upload it to, anyone?

It is possible to run Mac OS X on a PC using the cracked developer?s edition. Unless your PC matches it closely you will lose a lot of functionality because the developer?s kit was designed to run on a specific set of hardware. Also, you have to remember that the PC version of OS X is a developer?s version that is bound to have some bugs.

At this point the easiest and best way to get the Mac experience is to buy a Mac Mini. Currently they are $499 at apple.com with 512mb RAM (the magic number for the OS).

I wouldn't link to anything that involved installing macosx on a PC...... I heard that apple sued alot of companies for just displaying the material.
