Certainly I can, it's not been around for a great portion of my life so my imagination isn't even taxed to do so.. I would certainly miss it though!

It's more difficult for me to think of how different life would be w/o electricity and running water.. or antibiotics.. life would be harder and a lot shorter.

I've thought about this. I see people who decide to switch jobs, they go straight to the net. Want to know something odd? Google's your key. I mean, even with libraries and other resources, nothing is available like it is on the net. Meeting people *me waves to David, Aaron, and Pav* from all over would be so much more difficult. The net's been around for as long as I've been old enough to really use it (granted, my little 7 years old sisters know how to get on to CartoonNetwork.com, and that's REALLY growing up with the net, but still...) and I can imagine a world without it, but it makes stuff so much easier.

Yes. But life wouldn't be nearly as efficient or fun. Lots of things are easier to do online, like buying movie tickets, making investments, email, research on the web, multiplayer gaming etc etc...

I was just informed we have wireless access at the student union lounges and cafeteria at my college. As soon as my wireless card gets here, I will be surfing and playing on my laptop between classes. Plus I can avoid the crowded, loud computer centers when I need to take my online exams.

when me and my buddies moved into new apt we were without internet for over a month
actually since i worked everyday i had internet there and atot phew
but rest of time at home just renewed friendship w/tv, ps2, gf haha

but i probably wouldnt have made it without my cd bundle o' porn dutifylly saved up after a year in dorm

If there was no internet I'd still be calling 1 - 5 line bbs'es with my 1200 - 14.4k modems.
I must admit the internet is much nicer. Higher speed, no dialing up over and over to a busy bbs...

i can, i''d just think back to like 1992. or something.



i was historian for the UCLA engineering society a couple quarters ago. I swear, if youlook at the pics of the early 90s and 80s engineers, they actually did real activities outside, the society was much better. the internet has destroyed a lot of the activities peopel once did, since people are all on the net, and dont need to make social activities to keep in touch as much.


the internet has helped a lot, but i think there are some things it has ruined.

i for one would probably become a car mechanic, or die. but just think, without the internet think of all the knowledge that would be lost and how less informed/stubborn, or stupid people would become, the internet is my most educational tool and i'm sure it's the same for many others
