Can you identify the pit bull here?

FIND THE PITBULL

Only one of the pictures below features the real American PitBull Terrier. Take the test to see if you can find it. Note there are no mixes or rescue dogs of unknown background who's breed could be debated. All dogs have been picked from breeders' websites and should be good representatives of their breed.

When you are done, ask your family and friends to take to test and watch the results. For many people, a Pit Bull is a a big headed dog, or a dog with cropped ears. For some it's a brindle dog, a big, stocky dog, or one with an eye patch.

Quite often dogs that attack are identified as pit bulls when they are not. There are 20+ breeds that are commonly incorrectly identified as pit bulls.

Pick which one you think it is in the poll, I'll post the answer late tonight or else tomorrow morning. DON'T GIVE IT AWAY IF YOU KNOW!

I know the answer, I know the answer 🙂

People mistake my english bulldog/american bulldog mix as a pitbull all the time. They also think my american bulldog/boston terrier mix is a pitbull. If people weren't so ignorant about pitbulls, I would own one myself.

A Lot of Lovely dogs. Of course I'd kill all of them in the picture if it meant saving a person from getting mauled/badly bitten/worse by any of them...

They may not all be American Pit Bull Terriers, but most are part of the Molosser family of dogs, which includes many dogs bred for being aggressive watch/guard dogs (and consequently, fighting dogs).

I personally don't care what the breed is. If a dog attacks me or my loved ones in any serious manner, either the State puts it down or I'll do it myself.

Theres only a couple that are even close.

Yeah, I only see 2 or 3 that could possibly be confused for a pitbull by anyone who has seen a pitbull.

..check with insurance companies about large dog litigation hazards and know what your exposing your self to when you choose to have such a dog.

So, am I alone here in wondering what this is supposed to exactly prove?

I assume it is supposed to prove that pit bulls are not as dangerous as people make them out to be, and people just assume that any dog that attacks someone is a pit bull... or something.

I say 7. I know people who have dogs that they claim to be pit bulls that look a lot like that.

Edit: 15 looks pretty close too...

I voted for the one currently in the lead. I really don't know much about dogs and I just went by what I've seen on TV and such.

I said 13.

I'd never own a pitbull. It could be the sweetest dog in the world, but you can't change people's opinions/fears. Some ignorant person could mistake the dog for being aggressive instead of playful, just because of its breed.

Nice mix of dogs not even close, presa canarias, bull mastiffs and boxer mutss to throw off the scent...
