I was able to eat more without worrying about gaining fat. Thats the beauty of metabolism,
it can adjust itself with the right stimuli.

Something you may be able to look forward to....

Yeah, that is the nice thing about reaching your goal and continuing to exercise. You can pretty much eat whatever you want (within reason). :)

Personally, I think it depends on your goals. If you want to build muscle, I think a good whey protein suppliment will make that much easier. Also, L-Glutamine is GREAT for helping your muscles recover.

You can get a good amount of both with Designer Whey. (sounds like a commercial, huh?) They have 3 grams of Glutamine and 17 grams of protein in each single serving (one scoop.) I have two scoops, three times a day. But I'm focusing on building muscle, and not weight loss.

I simply put some skim milk and the scoop(s) in a shaker, shake it up and chug it.

You'll probably want less protein than I take, so an L-Glutamine suppliment on top of that would be good. Take it even if all you do is cardio. It really makes the muscle aches, pains, and deadness ease up.

Finally, a good multivite is always a good idea. Take it with a full meal that has carbs, protein and fat so they will be absorbed properly.

One last (yeah right) piece of advice...

Stay hydrated!

Drink four times as much water as you think you need. A good thing is what I was told in the army: "If you're pissin' yellow, you're WRONG!."

Drink however much it takes to piss clear most of the time. Yes, this means more trips to the piss-pot daily, but the benefits are worth it.

LOL. You're a girl talking to a geek. All you need to do is get naked and run, he'll chase you until he dies, or sees a computer. :p

How does more water help lose weight? Or is it just that your body retains less when you are constantly drinking it?

At the most basic level, staying hydrated allows you to continue your workouts. If you can get through your workouts, you can lose weight. Drinking lots of water also helps to curb hunger, and fills you up faster at meals.

One common problem with people new to fitness is dehydration.
